about

Martinibomb is a plunderphonic pastiche audio-collage duo who combine live instrumentation within layers of manipulated audio recordings.
The tracks presented here were created between 1998 and 2004 using a variety of different configurations. We have many influences and do not take ourselves too seriously.
Our sample sources include vinyl records, thrift store toys, field recordings, found sounds, dreams, films and creaky doors. We play guitars, pianos, synthesizers, DIY electronics, bass and percussion. We love Exotica, Mambo, Cha Cha, Desi Arnaz, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Surf Guitar, 60s Garage Rock, Disco, Lo-Fi, John Cage, Hip Hop, Musique Concrete, Soul, Novelty, Soundtracks, Post-Punk, Avant Garde, Poetry, Joe Meek, Raymond Scott, French Pop, John Waters, Ennio Morricone, Pierre Henry, Jean-Jacques Perrey and Gershon Kingsley, King Tubby, Art Tatum and Charles Mingus.
